How To Buy

Registration and Bidding
When you register to bid in an auction, you must fill in the Bidding Registration Form, provide the relevant identity document, and pay a deposit in order to handle the registration formalities.
Identity document with photo issued by the government (such as resident identity card or passport) and proof of current address (if the current address is not shown in the identity document), e.g. utility bill or bank statement.
A certificate of incorporation and proof of shareholding.
Identity document of the agent, identity document of the bidding person/company that the agent represents, original signed authorization letter from that person/company. Please note that 33 Auction does not accept payment from a third party and this also applies to agent. If you participate in the bidding on behalf of others, 33 Auction only accepts the payment of the principal Bidder.
Bidding In Person
Online Bidding with 33 Auction’s Mobility Platform
You are able to live streams every live auctions from 33 Auction’s online bidding platform on your computer or mobile device. Clients who wish to bid through this Online platform should register at least 4 hours in advance before the start of the sale. After online registration, you can enter the online saleroom 15 minutes before the start of the sale, or at any point during the sale. Simply enter your sale account, select the sale you wish to participate and select ‘Join Auction’.
Bidding for Online-Only Auctions
Online-Only auctions happen twice every month on 33 Auction’s Online platform, offering collectibles with an attractive premium.
Follows steps for Online Bidding registration and select ‘Register to Bid’. You will be asked to register your credit card information before entering the online saleroom. As an information security measure, 33 Auction does not store your complete credit card information. If you successfully bidded and won a lot in the sale, your credit card will not be automatically charged. Following the end of the online auction, you will receive an email with the invoice for payment.
33 Auction online bidding platform uses predetermined bidding increments – please refer to the terms & Condition of each sale.
• The lots in Online-Only Auctions are initially staggered to close 3 minutes apart.
• If a bid is placed within 10 minutes of the closing time of a lot, additional 10 minutes will be added to the designated closing time for that lot. Please note that the extension of any particular lot’s closing time does not affect the other lot’s closing time.
• If a maximum bid amount is entered, the platform will place incremental bids on your behalf up to the maximum amount specified.
• If 2 or more parties leave identical bids, the first bid received will take precedence.
A buyer’s premium will be added to the hammer price and is payable by the buyer as part of the total purchase price. The buyer’s premium rate is as follows:
Singapore Live Auction: 22% of the hammer price up to and including SGD 200,000 and 18% of any amount in excess of SGD 200,000 on each lot.
Jakarta Live Auction: 22% of the hammer price on each lot.
Online-only Auction: 15% of the hammer price on each lot.
When a Bidder participates in an auction of 33 Auction (Singapore / Jakarta), bidder shall first pay the auction deposit before collecting the paddle. The amount of the auction deposit will be announced by 33 Auction before the Auction Date. If the Bidder fails to buy the Lot and he does not owe 33 Auctionany sum, then that auction deposit shall be returned to the Bidder in full without interest within 14 working days after the end of the auction. If the Bidder succeeds in buying a Lot, the auction deposit shall automatically be converted to the payment of the Purchase Price of the Lot.
Payment of the total purchase price (including applicable buyer’s premium and taxes if applies) must be made within seven calendar days of the sale and may be made by telegraphic transfer direct to 33 Auction’s bank account:

Please kindly indicate your invoice number or lot number of your purchase in the payment message.
Payment can also be made by Singapore Dollars or Indonesian Rupiah banker’s draft (drawn on a recognised Singapore or Indonesia bank). Although personal and company cheques are accepted, you are advised that property will not be released until such cheques are cleared.
For auction in Singapore, 33 Auction accepts payment by credit cards which will incur a service fee at the following rate of total amount payable:
– Card present transaction: By OCBC Visa/Mastercard: 2.00%; Other Visa/Mastercard/CUP: 2.35%; OCBC Cards Instalment Plan: 2.60%
– Card not present transaction processed via PayPal or Stripe: 4.06%
33 Auction accepts the following types of payment*:
Collection Of Artworks
Lots will be released to you or your authorized representative when full and cleared payment has been received by 33 Auction. After thirty days or from the time of collection, whichever is the earlier, the Lot will be entirely at the Buyer’s risk.
Storage and Insurance
All purchases will initially be held for collection at 33 Auction’s premises at no charge. 33 Auction provides insurance coverage for a maximum of thirty days after the sale. Storage charges will be incurred one month after the date of the auction at the rate of 0.50% of the value of the lot or minimum S$ 50 per lot per month.
Packing and Handling
We shall use all reasonable effort to take care when handling and packing a purchased lot but the Buyer is reminded that after thirty days or from the time of collection, the lot is entirely at the Buyer’s risk.
33 Auction’s Shipping Department can advise buyers on exporting and shipping property. Please complete and sign the shipping instruction form sent with your invoice if this service is required. Purchases will be despatched as soon as possible upon clearance from the Accounts Department and receipt of your written despatch instructions and of any export licence or certificates that may be required. Shipping will be arranged at buyer’s expense. Your shipper will include a quote for transit insurance. All shipments should be unpacked and checked on delivery and any discrepancies notified to the transit insurer or shipper immediately.
